A High-Pressure Monitoring Line is a sterile, disposable extension line specifically designed to connect invasive pressure monitoring systems (such as arterial, central venous, or pulmonary artery catheters) to a pressure transducer. It maintains a closed, accurate, and high-pressure-tolerant fluid pathway, ensuring precise transmission of physiological pressure waveforms to the monitor.
Pressure Rating:
Capable of withstanding pressures up to 1200 psi (approx. 82.7 bar), making it ideal for use with invasive hemodynamic monitoring and contrast media injections.
Material:
Made from non-compliant, high-grade medical PVC or polyurethane to minimize waveform dampening.
Transparent tubing allows visual confirmation of fluid flow and air bubbles.
Length:
Available in various lengths (commonly 30 cm to 150 cm) to accommodate different clinical setups and patient positioning.
Luer Lock Connectors:
Male and female luer lock connectors at either end ensure a secure, leak-proof connection to the transducer, catheter, or stopcock.
Sterility:
Individually packaged and sterile, designed for single use to reduce infection risk.
Kink-Resistant & Flexible:
Maintains consistent internal diameter for reliable pressure transmission, even during patient movement or line manipulation.
Arterial pressure monitoring (A-line setups)
Central venous pressure (CVP) monitoring
Pulmonary artery catheter (Swan-Ganz) setups
Intraoperative or ICU hemodynamic monitoring
High-pressure contrast injection during imaging procedures
